Recently Longbow has established an office in Kolkata as a part of its expansion drive and it is now also offering unique case opinion databases for Europe, USA, China and India. The Legal Manager post is also being offered at the Kolkata office only.
The aspirants for the position must have an LL.B. degree, with preferably a specialized LL.M. in IP, along with work experience of at least 2-3 years in the field of IP (especially trademark) law. Good knowledge in US Trade Mark law, experience in Trade Mark litigation support and experience in Trade mark registration in India and US would be preferred while choosing amongst the aspirants.
Among other things, the selected person will be in charge of managing the Trademark part of the Longbow database and also for the quality control of the analysis of US and Indian court opinions. He/she will also be expected to develop the Indian TM structure (tree, guide, collection, sales strategy) and finalizing the US TM structure. Preparation of necessary tools and schemes for case analysis in collaboration with lawyer from US (Analysis guide, training manual etc.), training and supervision of analysts, recruitment by organizing sessions and tests at universities and customer support and support in other related works will also form part of the job responsibilities thus entailed.
The expected compensation offered will be around 8 lakhs INR (negotiable).
