Virginia Journal of Law & Technology and Altacit Global announces IP Writing Competition

The Virginia Journal of Law & Technology, in collaboration with Altacit Global (an intellectual property law firm that is known for its specialty in offering strategic board-level advice to companies; details about Altacit Global can be obtained here), has decided to host an intellectual property law writing competition. The topic for this 1st Annual Intellectual Property Law Writing Competition is The Varying Treatment of Patentable Subject Matter“. The Competition is open to all law students of Indian and AmericanUniversities, Colleges and Institutions. Amongst the papers submitted, 2 winning ones will be selected by the Editorial Board of the journal and the authors thereof will receive cash prizes of $ 500 (Winner) & $ 250 (Runner-up). The winning entries will also be considered for publication in the journal, although the ultimate decision lies entirely at the discretion of the Editorial Board concerned. All entries complying with the prescribed submission guidelines will receive a certificate of participation. The deadline for submission is on December 15, 2009.
