Announcing the IP Events page

Among the many fantastic suggestions we have received over the past few weeks was one that caught our eye, and which we thought was easily and immediately implementable: an Events Calendar.

If you look carefully on the homepage of the blog, right under the top SpicyIP banner, you will spot a tab indicating the IP Events page, which you can access directly here.

Events posting policy

In future, any requests for posting events related to IP in India will be directly posted here, along with whatever information material we receive. Towards this, we would request event organisers (and by event, I refer to conferences, seminars, workshops, lectures, and the like) to kindly send details to one of the team bloggers by email and we shall try our best to put it up on the calendar as soon as possible.

As a matter of policy, we shall be putting up events *only* on the calendar page, and not as a separate blogadvert. However, if organisers want separate posts put up, please indicate in your email that you wish your event to be put up as a post as well, and we shall arrange for that as well.

For starters, already there is an event scheduled for August 17, 2010, in New Delhi, which is the FICCI-MSME Intellectual Property Facilitation Centre (IPFC) Launch. Do take a look at the calendar for more details on this.

We hope you can make use of this information resource, and we trust you will, as ever, give us feedback on whether this works or doesn’t work, or any other comments or suggestions.

  1. Kudos to the SPicyIP team.
There’s a problem in the calender view. The last part including the tabs on the right hand corner are not visible.

  2. Dear Anonymous,

Perhaps you could try clicking on the Agenda itself to see it and so are the tabs. You just need to change the view-from day to week or month.

  3. Anon – the size of the calendar as visible to you is possibly a factor of your computer’s display resolution.

In any case, I’ve now optimised the calendar to fit into the frame in displays with a resolution of at least 1024×640.

Hope this helps! thanks for pointing out the problem so quickly. and do let us know if you have more issues.
