Our patent office has finalized and published the Manual of Patent Office Practice and Procedure (MPPP). The current edition of the manual is a welcome departure from previous editions. Unlike this edition, previous editions were not accessible section wise. This time the patent office has made the MPPP available in both HTML and PDF formats. More time can now be spent on reading the provisions and the patent office comments-rather than waiting for the page to load. The MPPP can be accessed in HTML here and in PDF here.

Mr. Kurian is doing a great Job. Since last 2 years we have seen many changes that have not been happening in last 2-3 decades. Hat’s off.
But, could any one share with Mr. Kurian that their Mumbai Office Officials never bother to attend to any phone calls.
I have been trying to contact Mumbai Patent Office through telephone since last three months, that too in every possible permutation-combination of timings, but never got any response. I have also mailed thrice but still awaiting a single word from them.
Any one can try this. Can anyone please let us know what is the “official time” and “official number” [other than those given on IPO Website ofcourse] to connect to any official at Mumbai Patent Office, the very office where CG himself is sitting.
