Recruitment for the Post of Research Associate
Applications are invited for the post of Full-Time Research Associate (01) under the MHRD IPR Chair at IIT Madras. Candidates with a LL.B. / LL.M. degree having not less than 60% of marks may apply for the post. Interested candidates may apply with their current Curriculum Vitae along with a sample of any written work to the following email id: [email protected]; the ‘Subject’ of the email must be ‘Research Associate January 2016’. Candidates are instructed to send their responses only to the aforementioned email id. No other mode will be entertained. The scope of the work will cover intellectual property law generally with special focus on policy, case law and empirical research relating to patent law. Candidates are expected to begin in January, 2016 and should be based in Chennai or willing to relocate to Chennai.
Research Associates will be paid a consolidated salary of Rs. 25,000/- per month (or any revised amount as per the MHRD IPR Norms). Terms of engagement will be for one year initially and may be renewed further.

Call for Internship Applications
The MHRD IPR Chair at IIT-Madras is inviting applications for internship for the months of January, February and March, 2016.
The proposed internship will cover research on IPR, specifically covering empirical research in patent law. The internship will cover updating a book, assistance in writing a law review article and preparing summary of cases. Interns will also be exposed to Bluebook footnoting and the method of doing empirical legal research.
The internship will be a part-time/online internship where the interns will be able to continue with their academics.
