SpicyIP Events: Conference on WTO Dispute Settlement- Between Honest Admiration and Candid Criticism

The Centre for WTO Studies, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi is organising an international Conference on “WTO Dispute Settlement: Between Honest Admiration and Candid Criticism”. The Conference will be held on May 2 – 3, 2016 at Old Conference Hall, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, B-21, Qutab Institutional Area, New Delhi.

The Conference will feature legal practitioners, academics, and government officials who are currently associated with the WTO’s dispute settlement mechanism (DSM). Some of the topics intended to be covered in the Conference are: development of jurisprudence on key issues such as environment; systemic issues concerning the DSM; implementation and remedies. The Conference will also have a session on developing country participation in the DSM, and a specific session on India.

Legal practitioners, students pursuing international trade law and other professionals with a keen interest in international trade are cordially invited to attend the event. However, it is mandatory to register on or before 10:00 AM on 25th April 2016 with the Centre for WTO Studies.
