We are pleased to remind our readers that the Centre for Intellectual Property Rights, Institute of Law, Nirma University is organizing its first Intellectual Property Fest, Shrujan 2k17- Celebrating Culture, Creativity and Heritage tomorrow i.e. November 18, 2017.
The fest aims to bring the interface of intellectual property with cultural heritage of the country to the notice of the legal fraternity as well as other stakeholders by facilitating an academic discussion on Traditional Knowledge and Geographical Indications.
Panel Discussion (Seminar Hall : 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM)
The University would be hosting renowned dignitaries from the industry and academia having expertise and knowledge in the aforementioned arena for an insightful panel discussion. The panelists are Mr. Jatin Trivedi, Partner, Y. J. Trivedi & Co, Ahmedabad; Mr. Ganesh Hingmire, Founder, GCMC, Pune; Mr. Ashish Kanta Singh, Partner, K & S Partners, Gurgaon; Dr. Anushri Gupta, Founder Partner, Anushri Gupta & Associates, Delhi; Prof M. Padmavati, Professor, Rajiv Gandhi School of IP Law, Kharagpur and Prof. Subhash Rathor, Professor, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad.
GI Exhibition (Institute Entrance : 11: 30 AM to 5:00 PM)
Also, an exhibition featuring registered Geographical Indications of Gujarat will present some gorgeous exhibits that would give a perfect glimpse of the beautiful extravaganza of the cultural heritage of the state.
Folklore Night (NIM Lawn : 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM)
Last but not the least, a grandeur Folklore Night will feature mesmerizing performances to celebrate folklore and its interface IPR in spectacular fashion with the Midas touch of music and dance.
