Daksh, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the improvement of democratic governance in India has announced a Legislation Drafting Challenge. The themes for the challenge are a) Transparency in Governance and b) Electoral Reforms. Participants are free to choose specific subject areas under these themes. Every team must consist of 5 members. Moreover, there is no cap on the number of teams from every institution. The proposed draft bill must cover the following aspects: the need for the legislation, the financial costs of the proposed changes, the details of the administrative machinery if required and an analysis of why the proposed bill is the best solution for the problem. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three submissions and Certificates of Merit will be granted to ten additional teams.
