Access free e-book on basics of Patent Search

The kind folks at Origiin IP Solutions recently released a FREE e-book on “Basics of Patent Search”. This is a great initiative to provide access to IP law through the open access model. The e-book highlights the need to perform a thorough patent search, the kinds of searches, and how a good search report can assist in:

  1. Assessing novelty of the invention;
  2. Minimising patent infringement risk;
  3. Formulating IP strategies;
  4. Enforcement/opposition of patent.

It sets a broad framework for patent search, with additional inputs in the form of a relevant course option provided by Oriigin IP. The e-book can be downloaded for FREE by clicking here. Readers may download the book, and leave feedback with Origiin IP Academy.
