The Intellectual Property Law Practitioners Association (IPLPA) and the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI India Group) is conducting the “First Prof. T. N. Daruwalla Memorial Lecture” in memory of the late Prof. Tehemtan Nasserwanji Daruwalla, an esteemed academic at Govt. Law College, Mumbai, and IP law practitioner for over 53 years. Prof. Daruwalla was a well loved and respected pioneer in the field and the recipient of numerous Awards, including a Life Time Achievement Award from the IPLPA and a Medal from Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA)and the Medal of Honour (Posthumous) from the AIPPI. The First Memorial Lecture will be deliver by Hon’ble Mr. Justice B. N. Srikrishna, a Former Judge of the Supreme Court of India on the topic “Competition Law Versus Intellectual Property Laws, The Real Challenge”. The lecture will be held on Friday, 12th December 2014, at 6.30 pm at the ROYAL BOMBAY YACHT CLUB, Chhatraparti Shivaji Maharaj Marg, Apollo Bunder, Mumbai 400 001.
A Life Time Achievement Award will also be conferred upon Dr. Virendra V. Tulzapurkar, Senior Advocate, High Court Bombay at the same event for his tremendous and invaluable contribution in the field of the Law relating to Intellectual Property Rights.
