2015 marks the completion of ten years since we started out our journey to promote awareness about intellectual property issues in India. These years have been exciting, enriching and have given us the opportunity to learn from all our readers as well as add our bit towards discussing the issues that were of concern to us.
To continue this process of collaborative learning, Spicy IP is extremely pleased to announce that we are keen to infuse our team with new blood. We’re looking for sharp, curious and enthusiastic minds that are seeking to analyse and question current developments affecting the Indian IP and Innovation policy landscape.
We’re open to regular guest bloggers, as well as individuals looking to join the team as full members. Guest bloggers can submit posts as and when they want, while team members must write at least 4 posts in a month. For those selected to join the team, we’re happy to provide regular mentorship and guidance in research and post-writing, as well as opportunities to work on various research projects that we take up. And while this isn’t part of our Fellowship programme, you can see what some of our Fellows have had to say about their experience as part of the SpicyIP team here and here. Please do note though, that this is not only limited to students!
Those interested can send in their submissions to [email protected]
should the submissions for selection also be done in one month? 4 posts in one month?
For the selection process, how many articles should be sent to the given email id above. Also specify the word limit and the last date of submission.
Hi V and S,
There are no hard and fast rules here. We just need to see that the candidate is able to send in high quality posts on a regular basis. Once a candidate is selected, they will be expected to write 4 posts a month, so applicants being able to send in 1 post a week would roughly be the rate we’re looking for. All posts sent in will be checked by our editorial board as to whether they can be published or not.
Posts should be under 900 words.
We’re always open to guest posts, so there’s no last date as such. As soon as we find 1-2 people we want on the team, we’ll take them in – whether that happens in the next few weeks or next few months.
Cheers,
Swaraj
